Certifications & Standards

HOW Group is committed to maintaining high standards across quality management, environmental responsibility, and workplace safety.

We are proud to hold certification across:

  • ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
  • ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems

These certifications reflect our commitment to continual improvement, responsible operations, and delivering reliable outcomes for our clients and partners.

We also prioritise products and manufacturers supported by recognised third-party certifications and standards, including AFRDI, Global GreenTag, GECA, FSC, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and Australian Made certification where applicable.

For furniture, certifications matter because they provide independent verification around durability, safety, environmental performance, and responsible material sourcing. We believe quality manufacturing and long-term thinking go hand in hand.

Australian Made

HOW Group is proud to offer a growing range of certified Australian Made furniture solutions.

Local manufacturing allows us to deliver shorter lead times, greater flexibility for customisation, and stronger quality control while supporting Australian industry and reducing the environmental impact associated with international freight.

Our certified Australian Made range includes core products such as the Adapt Sit-Stand Workstation, Space Lounge, Drum Base Table, Disc Base Table, and X Table. These systems are designed for long-term commercial use, with durability, repairability, and adaptability considered throughout the design process.

Beyond certification itself, local manufacturing also supports more responsive servicing, refurbishment, and ongoing product support across multiple workplace lifecycles.

Modern Slavery & Ethical Sourcing

HOW Group is committed to ethical business practices that uphold human rights and reduce the risk of modern slavery across our operations and supply chain.

Although we are not formally required to report under the Modern Slavery Act 2018, we have chosen to publish a Modern Slavery Statement voluntarily as part of our commitment to accountability, transparency, and responsible sourcing.

We recognise that risks can exist within complex global supply chains, particularly in labour-intensive industries involving textiles, manufacturing, logistics, and component sourcing. We do not tolerate any form of forced labour, child labour, human trafficking, or exploitation within our business or among those we work with.

As part of our ongoing commitment, HOW Group is implementing a range of initiatives including:

  • Developing a Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Reviewing procurement and supplier agreements
  • Conducting supplier assessments and due diligence
  • Providing internal staff training around ethical sourcing and modern slavery risks

We understand this is an ongoing process requiring continuous learning, collaboration, and improvement over time.

Quality & Responsible Manufacturing

We partner with manufacturers who share our commitment to producing high-quality furniture designed for longevity.

This includes prioritising durable materials, responsible sourcing practices, proven manufacturing processes, and products that can be maintained, repaired, or reconfigured over time rather than prematurely replaced.

Where appropriate, we specify AFRDI-certified furniture to ensure products meet recognised performance, safety, and durability standards suitable for commercial environments.

We also support local manufacturing wherever possible, helping reduce transport impacts while improving flexibility, lead times, quality control, and long-term serviceability.

Transparency & Continuous Improvement

Governance is not only about compliance. It is about building systems and relationships that support better long-term outcomes.

Across sustainability, procurement, workplace safety, and social responsibility, HOW Group is committed to continual improvement through education, accountability, and open collaboration with clients, suppliers, manufacturers, and industry partners.

As our business evolves, we will continue refining our processes, strengthening our standards, and looking for more responsible ways to operate across every stage of the project lifecycle.
