A major milestone project for HOW Group, Melbourne Olympic Park gave our team the opportunity to showcase our capability across complex hospitality and public space environments. Working closely with Populous and project partners, we delivered durable, design-led furniture solutions across several iconic sporting and entertainment venues.

From the bustling indoor concourses of Rod Laver and Margaret Court Arenas to the relaxed atmosphere of Paradise Cove (a new outdoor beer garden adjacent to Margaret Court Arena) the project called for a broad range of furniture that could handle high foot traffic, varying weather conditions, and an ever-changing events schedule.

Hospitality and Outdoor Spaces

In Paradise Cove, we helped bring the space to life with a mix of custom and commercial outdoor furniture. We supplied bespoke steel benches designed to integrate seamlessly with custom-built decking zones, large Tulip-shaped umbrellas imported from Finland, and planter pots made entirely from recycled plastic. These elements were paired with loose outdoor furniture from Pedrali to create a welcoming, vibrant setting that encourages social connection before and after events.

Public Concourse Furniture

Throughout the indoor concourses of Rod Laver and Margaret Court Arenas, as well as hospitality areas within John Cain Arena, HOW Group supplied loose furniture selected for durability and ease of maintenance. Every item was chosen to meet the demands of a high-use public environment, without compromising on style or comfort.

The Melbourne Olympic Park project demonstrates HOW Group’s ability to deliver furniture solutions at scale, balancing visual impact with practicality and longevity.
